Who is makin’ & a shakin’ this season? A month into our season and the going has been good. Very mild so far for the this time of year - some days have felt like summer already - and more then usual of classic force 5-6 windy days. Lots of dolphins these days, big pods too. Happy surfers all round.
The team line up for this year is lead at the windsurf centre by manager Greg closely followed by Shlep, both in their 4th year with us and with heaps of experience & nifty moves.
New in town is the lovely Katie on admin, chatty Sian on the beach with assistants Walid & Fateh. Wee Angus Mc D heads up the all important Spreader Bar.

Barney
Of course how could we forget Barney - very laid back, quiet and friendly. It's
definitely a dogs life. Now fully qualified at tandem board riding, this year
he's hoping to master kite handle passes! |

Abdel - the Egyptian
expert!
Often the friendly, smiley face that meets you at the airport, Abdel speaks fluent
English and also assists the team with many other local operations. |

Phil
As the other half of the Moonbeach inspiration, Phil's long long long background
(he started young...as opposed to being super old!)was originally with Falson
Sailing, now part of the Neilson brand. Having spent many years full time at
Moonbeach in the early days, he is now once again Back on board and back on the
beach! As an extremely talented instructor and coach, his input to the
new instructors keeps them on their toes, the guests well looked after ...and
the bar entertained!?! |

Lez
Lez has been full time with Moonbeach since its creation in 1985. As a wee young
instructor she served several years with Falcon- Sovereign – and what is
now Neilson, in both Sardinia and Bitez, Turkey. With this background and years
of competitive dingy sailing, setting up a holiday company seemed to fall into
place during a stint working in Sinai. Local knowledge lead her and business
partner Phil to the shores of Moonbeach - and the rest of course is history!
In the latter years her interest of yoga and kitesurfing has supported the development
of Moonbeach. When she can be unstuck from the office computers, Lez can be found
on the beaches of West Wittering in the UK, or of course Moonbeach! |

Rick
Also in the UK, The Man on the end of the phone in the booking office is
Rick Crampton. Rick has been in the trade longer than he would probably
care to state and knows all there is to know about windsurfing holidays.
Living in Feurteventura in the early 80's he cut teeth with such infamous
breaks as Shooting Gallery and Cotillo with the likes of Gary Gibson,
Jurgen Honscheid, Mark Woods and Duncan Coombes. From selling equipment,
to holidays including several years under the banner of Sportif, Rick
is an invaluable part of the team. He also knows Moonbeach from first
hand experience since it began which ensures the customer is getting
accurate information. He is very amenable and helpful, so you are sure
to get a quality individual service. He has dipped into some kiting more
recently although we have yet to tempt him into yoga. |
